SMS Equipment is growing, and we're looking for a Resident Heavy Equipment Technician to provide expert service to our customers in the Peace River region. Your Role:
As a Resident Heavy Equipment Technician, you will:

Operate your company provided fully equipped service truck, performing on-site diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls on heavy equipment.

Work directly with customers, troubleshooting and providing expert recommendations.

Handle preventive maintenance and major repairs on Komatsu and other heavy equipment.

Interpret work orders, technical manuals, and computerized testing equipment to determine the extent of repairs required.

Work in various conditions, including adverse weather.

Promote and maintain a strong safety culture while working independently.
What You Bring:
-
Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician / Heavy Duty Mechanic certification (red seal is an asset).

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.

Experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance (mining equipment experience is an asset).

A valid Class 5 driver's license and a clean driver's abstract.

Strong communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
